Jousting On The Forum

John crushes Wulffy - photoshop or reality?  You decide.Chaos VS NPR?  Europe VS USA?  Two parts trash talk and one part philosophy - A few net enthusiasts representing NPR, Chaos, and other net hotbeds from Canada to Russia debate the merits of breaking the plane.  Check it out on the forum at fw (portal to a world that revolves around footbag).

What do you think?  Is breaking the plane good or bad for the game?

Also, why didn’t Wulffy just continue this ridiculous debate by posting on the original thread?  What a jerk!  Perhaps he’s just afraid of exposing himself via those pics Bob got documenting his queen-ness.

Deutschland - No Kidding!

(final report from the 2005 WFC)

World Championship Results - Complete and Final

Apologies for a very late final report.  I was unable to access the Internet before my worlds trip came to a close and then I was on vacation and off the grid for awhile.  Anyway, the nitty gritty…

Chaos had 6 players represented on 4 doubles teams, all advancing from the preliminary round, and 2 of our 4 entrants in the open singles event also advanced from pool play to bracket.  Of those who advanced from prelims, our teams finished in 3rd, 4th, 10th, and 13th place out of 31 total teams, and the singles players finished in 2nd and 16th place in the 48 player field.  Check the link above for complete World Championship results.

Of course, we’re covering freestyle highlights here too and the highlight of highlights for USA/Chaos is that Carol Wedemeyer, Chaos 5.1 beta, won her 7th Women’s Singles Championship in a row and in dramatic fashion.

Semi Sweet USA

(report #2 from the 2005 WFC)

Singles Net:
John Leys cruised into the semifinals of open singles net on Wednesday while Eric Wulff was unable to upset his way into the top 8.

Round two began with Eric scoring an 11–9, 11–2 victory over Vince Bradley.  Next up was Andreas Wolff, this year's European Overall Champion, the winner going to the quarter finals.  Eric fell behind early before coming back from a 10–4 deficit in game one, finally succumbing 12–10.  The second game was less dramatic with Andreas maintaining control to advance with an 11–6 triumph.

Incoming!

John and PT reflect on their accomplishments
Brace for impact!  Chaos Tour 2005 touches down on the far side of the pond – in Wroclaw, Poland – on July 16th – just in time for the European Championships.  Chaos 0 and #3 look forward to "sharing" their Chaotic antics on and off the court with the European masters.  The mighty duo are supported by Chaos #3.1, Leti Saucedo, and will take on reinforcements in Chaos #4, 5, 5.1, 7, 9, and 13 on their next stop, The World Championships in Helsinki, Finland – opening July 23rd.  Chaos has a little more time to savior their accomplishments of 2004 before it’s time to focus on the job at hand – representing the Red, White, and Blue… and Green, in their drive to take home a few more titles, hopefully including a World Championship, or two.

Check back for updates on the European and World Championships of Footbag.

It's The New Style!

tablesez and images and flash intros and yipe!"Chaos Footbag" .com

Ok, now say it again to yourself &ndash – this time with the ‘dot–com’ part at just a whisper.

No seriously, try it.

Okay, now you’re feelin it like I’m feelin it.  chaosfootbag.com is here… again.  But don’t worry, it is still the site you, only you, know and love.  For instance, we haven’t gone and put too much more content on the site, mostly to keep it backwards compatible of course.  So, this is the latest version of the best looking extreme hacky website in the Northern California Bay Area having just enough substance NOT to waste any of your time.

Anyway, this latest version is designed using web standards–based methodology (of which there really aren’t any, officially that is, but there is a darn good idea of what they are… if they were) and that’s what this is really all about.  There really is no such sport as footbag either.  I just came up with the concept in order to generate some content (just a wee bit of) by which to show off my design skills.  So, if you’re a hacker, more the computer geek kind and less of the kicking geek type, then surely you’re terribly impressed and may be in dire want of my services.  If that is in fact the case, click the link at the way bottom right of any page.
