Green Cup 2007 Championship Match
World Footbag Championships 2007 - Open Doubles Net Final in HD
High Definition Video of Footbag Net
All 3 games from the open doubles final are now available on Vuze (Azureus 3.0). Click on the images below. You’ll have to use a bittorrent client (see Wikipedia page) to download the file. If you don’t already have a client installed, Azureus is easy (and safe) to install.
Note: These videos are in 720p (1280x720). You will need a reasonably fast computer to watch them. If you’re computer is more than 2 years old, it’s probably not worth the time and effort.
I posted Game 2 Wednesday morning. Some people had difficulty viewing the first game. I changed to 24 fps for this video. Based on feedback, I don’t think this made any improvement.
I posted Game 3 Friday morning. Once the image displays below, you should be able to download it. Thanks for the feedback. I went back to 29.97 fps.
HD Teaser Clip
OK. I posted a short HD teaser clip from the open doubles final to Vuze (Azureus 3.0). Click on the image below. You’ll have to download and install Azureus, then download the clip...approx 30MB.
Before I put more time into this project, I want feedback regarding tools, format, etc. As far as I can tell Vuze is the way to go for sharing HD video. Vuze allows Quicktime or Windows Media...I used Quicktime because I think it’s more widely available (MAC, PC, etc). I have all the matches from finals day in HD. I plan to post more clips when I have time. Thanks.

A Reasonable Assumption
Many Thanks to Ken Hamric for sharing this video clip and nicely summing up the climactic play of the Bronze Medal Match in Open Doubles Net at the 2007 WFC. Here is his footage and in his words…
“I have posted one clip from the match between Alexis/Bob and Jaakko/Jani to determine the 3rd place team. Alexis is serving to win the 3rd place title, blocks the Finn team for what he assumes (a reasonable assumption, one would think) is the point and the win, but the block gets dug and sent back over his head. Great athletic play from both teams, and a great match!”
Earthquakes in Portland?
Breaking news Portland had n couple earthquakes last sunday, during the final of the US Open. Ok, maybe, yeah, we brought them with us. I love when people say, “I would live in the bay area but there are too many earthquakes.” I mean get real here, earthquakes are fun, especially when you make them! Well here is evidence of one happening in Portland. Call it a strange coincidence, but right after the quake, the second consecutive title of the US open went to Chaos! Here is some live video of the beat down that took place in the final. I apologize for the video quality it was taken by and spectator who was fleeing the scene.

An Early Christmas Present Rudely Returned
Thanks to Chaos #3 and his partner Manu, Chaos #13 for the video, and YouTube - you can now witness the already infamous “Merry Christmas” play
(listen closely). This play occurred in the semi-final match at this year’s WFC in Frankfurt. It was one of the all time great matches and this play will forever be remembered by those who witnessed it.
btw, unfortunately the video doesn’t show it but this gift was rudely returned by wearing the gifter.
Now, can we end the silence? If this doesn’t involk comments then I don’t know what will.
