Eleven!
The Open Singles World Champion for 2008 is Emmanuel Bouchard. JF Lemieux put up a good fight, it was a great show, and Manu’s complete domination of Open Singles continues. Emmanuel won the first game, which was close throughout, 15-12. JF jumped out to a 9-4 lead in game 2 before Manu worked his way back and then took the lead 12-9. The venue is small but it was packed and the crowd was, shall we say… very appreciative. JF would not go easily and came back yet again to take the lead 14-12. He had one shot at a game point and the crowd definitely wanted to see more, but he could not convert and Emmanuel closed it out 16-14. It’s definitely one of the great singles finals of all time.
Matti Pojhola (Team Finland) is the bronze metalist over John Leys (Team Chaos) in straight sets.
Oxana Prikhodko, of Russia, is the Open Singles Women’s World Champion defeating Julia Tikhomirova, also from Russia, in straight sets.
Ok, off to the site for the Doubles matches. I’ll be back
What an accomplishment! Manu is the undisputed champion of the world, the sultan of sole dink, the prince of placement, the beast of bang backs,
Seriously Video killed the radio star and Manu Killed the singles game.
You are too dominant! Props!
The photo makes me think of MATT DAMON.
