PT Lovern is Chaos #3

PT LovernPT Lovern is the founding (god)father of Chaos Footbag.  He won the Open Doubles Net World Championship in 2004 and 2008, partnering with Chaos #4, then his current partner Manu Bouchard. PT is also the first US player to win in Montreal 3 times (2004 Worlds, 2008 Montreal Championships, 2009 Akisphere).  PT’s powerful spikes are known to invoke involuntary twitching from opponents.  While most would agree PT is a mild mannered individual, he does have strong opinions on the future of footbag net.  However, he will only share them if you ask nicely, don’t ask at all, are within earshot - via the footbag forum, email, phone, sky-writing…

John Leys is Chaos #4

chaos footbag: John LeysJohn Leys represents half of the 2004 Open Doubles Net World Championship duo (of which Chaos #3 is the other half) and also has the distinction of being the first ‘long hair’ to win a Green Cup title.

Civil engineer by day.  Um, civil engineer by night too.  Hacky X Man on some weekends.

Oh yeah, and he has also won several singles net titles and is consistently ranked among the top 4 players in the world.

Eric Wulff is Chaos #5

chaos footbag: Eric WulffEric was taken as an all-around player in the first round of the 1986 footbag draft by the infamous Ocean County Clippers, while he was still in high school mind you.  He demanded a trade in 2002 after finally realizing “The Clippers” were no more and Chaos was kind enough to take him in.  He may be best known for playing taller than he is, but to be honest that’s not saying much.  Eric has 4 world championship titles in ~cough~footbag freestyle~cough~ and we’re somewhat confused as to why he’s here.

Jack Harris is Chaos #2

chaos footbag: Jack HarrisJackson dominated the legball scene in elementary and middle school.  We’re not sure what the hell happened after that.  We’ve heard rumors the country he is from requires a 15 year commitment to the peace corps in exchange for a college education.  All we know now is - he’s back and I mean BIG TIME!

Mild mannered?  Perhaps, but don’t piss him off cause… cause… cause we don’t want
to know what might happen.

Tuan "Disco Ninja" Vu is Chaos #7

Tuan won his first net title in Phoenix 2009 with Chris Siebert. After 15 years of footbag and 3 World titles in Team Freestyle, Tuan has decided to look for new ways to thrash his body. He journeyed to the land of Chaos and was welcomed with lots of dig practice. Determined to hang with this elite group, he re-invented himself as a net player and was granted the number 7 that he proudly wears in battle. Never knowing who his partner will be or what tournament Tuan will be at next, don’t be surprised to see him lurking in the shadows at an event near you!

Patti won back to back doubles world titles in 2006 and 2007 then again in 2009 with his German partner Florian Götze. He is currently on loan from FC Footstar Berlin e.V. We acquired him by picking up his max contract in 2006. Three world titles later we are very happy with the acquisition. Patti is now playing for the green team and loving life in California.

Jeremy Mirken is Chaos #25

After two seasons in the Santa Cruz Cactus League, talent scouts began to take note of a promising young bay area talent. It wasn’t long before Lil’ Jergy was presented with a 5 figure contract to move Oakland, to train with the big boys, and to master the art of world domination. Now, the future of Chaos is riding on Air Jer’s development. In 2 short years, Jere Mirkkanen (as he’s known in Finland) has risen to prominence in the world of footbag net, cracking the top 15 in both singles and doubles at this year’s world championships. Although he has held titles in both singles and doubles, the Jergernaut won’t be satisfied until he achieves his goal: to be the most feared net player on the planet. While others play, Jeremy trains. While others sleep, he sleeps better. Some players may be modest, but Jer Bear defines modesty. If you seek his wisdom, come to Oakland to the place where champions are bred. But remember, wear your sweater because bears live in caves, and caves can be damp.
